| Subject: Function Inverses Fri Jan 27, 2017 2:30 pm | |
| Hello,
Requirements: Paper Pencil
---- Inverses may be a bit complex, But i am here to show you how to do them.
The Inverse of a coordinate is the Y switched to be the X. For example, say you have the coordinates (1,5) , (5,4), (-3,2), and (4,8 )
They would look like this in a chart X Y 1 5 5 4 -3 2 4 8
But When we reverse them, the answer will be X Y 5 1 4 5 2 -3 8 4
This seems pretty simple, right ? it is just the reversing right? But what happens when you have an Equation like this: f(x)=4x+10
Now things get complicated Right ? Have no fear, I am here to show you how to do this problem! Click the green Text below to see how I solved f(x)=4x+10. *PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOT DOING THE STEPS, I AM JUST DOING THE MATH , BUT EVERYTHING IS IN ORDER. IF YOU FOLLOW MY STEPS IN SIMILAR PROBLEMS BUT WITHOUT USING THE SAME NUMBERS, YOU WILL GET THE QUESTION CORRECT.
- Answer and How to solve it:
Seems Pretty Simple Now Right ? No ? Why don't you try this problem then. Try to do f(x)=4x+3 On your own! Tell me inside of the comments what your answer is, and how you got it if you still need help! | |
